About The Position

Under the direction of an appropriate licensed clinician and in accordance with unit-specific standards, the Patient Care Tech III (PCT III) provides care to meet patients’ personal needs and comfort and assists members of the healthcare team. This level applies to PCTs performing unit secretary duties or telemetry or remote video monitoring, and those working in designated specialty areas, including the Emergency Department, ICU, Dialysis, Spine Procedure Room, Endoscopy, Neurointerventional Radiology, Angiography, Radiology Short Stay, and Harrington Telemetry Certified and Step-Down Unit. The role includes communicating patient observations and changes to the RN; observing assigned high-risk patients; supporting a safe environment and following de-escalation and restraint procedures as directed; assisting with daily living activities, mobility, and patient transport; and performing patient safety checks.
