About The Position

Sentara Family Medicine Physicians Greenbrier is hiring a full-time Patient Care Specialist in Chesapeake, Virginia. This role provides non-clinical support in a physician’s office and performs complex administrative tasks that support patient care delivery and help ensure an excellent patient experience. Primary duties include answering phones, scheduling appointments, and responding to patient questions. The position works Monday through Friday on the day shift and emphasizes teamwork in supporting patient care.

Requirements

High school diploma is required.
Three years of customer service experience is required.
One year of experience with health insurance plans, medical records data, medical terminology, registration, scheduling, or third-party payers is required.

Nice To Haves

An associate degree or higher may be considered in lieu of the required experience.
