About The Position
The Patient Care Specialist 2 (PCS2) supports excellent patient care and operational efficiency at AHF healthcare centers. The role combines medical assistant clinical functions, including phlebotomy, with administrative and front-office duties such as processing patient referrals and identifying and verifying insurance coverage. PCS2s rotate across functions to help healthcare centers run smoothly and provide patients with a positive experience, compassionate care, and a high standard of service. The position requires adaptability and close collaboration with AHF employees and departments while upholding AHF’s mission and core values. Responsibilities
- Perform medical assistant clinical functions, including phlebotomy.
- Perform administrative and front-office duties.
- Process patient referrals.
- Identify and verify insurance coverage.
- Participate in cross-functional rotations and adapt to different healthcare center functions.
- Collaborate with AHF employees and departments to meet patient needs and support high-quality care.
- Help foster patient trust and loyalty and uphold AHF’s mission and core values.
