About The Position

The Patient Care Representative III delivers, sets up, and provides education on durable medical equipment and supplies in customers’ homes, the Home Support office, or clinic and hospital settings. The role provides 24-hour coverage to Home Support customers and effectively triages calls. It also includes some referral intake and warehouse duties.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
No previous experience required.
Ability to use computer and software systems and a phone system to transmit orders.
Ability to represent Home Support positively and professionally.
Ability to communicate and problem-solve collaboratively with coworkers and supervisors.
Familiarity with and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and CoxHealth Home Support policies and procedures.
Demonstrated timeliness, courtesy, sincerity, and patience when working with internal and external customers.
Ability to maintain knowledge of respiratory and durable medical equipment and trends related to home care.
Knowledge of hospital emergency codes, OSHA standards, infection control methods, and lifting principles.
Ability to use current committee structures and formal communication channels to support problem-solving and decision-making.
Must obtain a Class E Driver's License within 30 days of hire.

Maintain a clean, organized work area to support timely order placement and tracking.
Use supplies efficiently and maintain working knowledge of warehouse and inventory management systems.
Communicate patient or customer problems and needs through appropriate channels.
Follow applicable standards, guidelines, protocols, and safety principles to support care delivery.
