Here, you will work with and learn from some of our best caregivers, receive endless support and appreciation, and build a rewarding career with one of the most respected healthcare organizations in the world. Medina Hospital’s 2 North Progressive Care Unit (PCU) specializes in the care of cardiac and neurological patients who require close monitoring and advanced nursing interventions. Our dedicated team provides expert care for patients with complex medical conditions, including those recovering from cardiac events, stroke and other neurological disorders. The PCU serves as an intermediate care unit, bridging the gap between intensive care and general medical-surgical care, ensuring that patients receive high-quality, specialized treatment tailored to their needs. Our skilled nurses are trained in advanced cardiac and neurological interventions, delivering compassionate and evidence-based care to optimize patient outcomes. As a Patient Care Nurse Assistant (PCNA) on the team, you will assist and provide direct patient care while supervised by a Registered Nurse (RN). This position involves heavy patient contact, including ADLs and ambulation assistance. A PCNA in this role should be familiar with identifying basic changes in patient status and have the ability to be flexible and multitask in a fast-paced environment. Here, you will have the chance to work alongside our nurses and physicians who are eager to teach, welcome new caregivers to the team and help them climb the professional ladder. A caregiver in this position works nights from 7:00PM – 7:30AM, including rotating weekends and holidays.
