About The Position

This role is for a Patient Care Technician in the Progressive Care Unit at Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro, TN. The position is PRN (as needed) and involves day shifts. The technician will provide direct patient care, including assisting with daily living activities, monitoring patients for changes, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring the cleanliness of patient rooms and equipment readiness.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Nurse Aide preferred.

Responsibilities

Assisting with daily living activities (hygiene, mobility, and positioning) to ensure patient comfort and safety.
Observing patients for physical or emotional changes and immediately reporting updates to the nursing team.
Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring all care activities are properly logged.
Overseeing the cleanliness of patient rooms and the readiness of medical equipment.
