About The Position

The Patient Care Coordinator (Charge RN) provides daily, shift-to-shift leadership supporting operations of a 17-bed ICU with a diverse patient population and varying diagnoses at Community Hospital Anderson, a Level 3 Trauma Center. The role combines clinical patient care with leadership, customer service, critical thinking, schedule management, relationship competencies, and organizational skills. The coordinator has the authority and autonomy to help ensure appropriate clinical and customer satisfaction outcomes while leading the team. Strong situational awareness is important, including remaining visually and mentally engaged throughout the shift, scanning the unit to anticipate needs, and monitoring teammates’ workloads to provide early assistance. The coordinator works collaboratively with leadership in cardiovascular nursing, an area described as an opportunity for learning and growth.

Requirements

Graduate of an NLN-, CCNE-, ACEN-, or NLN CNEA-accredited school of nursing, or three years of related professional nursing experience.
Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in Indiana, as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
At least 2 years of acute care nursing experience.

Nice To Haves

ICU experience is highly preferred.
EPIC experience is a plus.
