About The Position

A Patient Care Coordinator (formerly Central Booking Clerk) is responsible for coordinating and scheduling patient appointments across multiple modalities including MRI. They ensure that bookings are made efficiently, accurately, and in line with clinical priorities and availability. Acting as a key point of contact by phone for patients, they communicate with patients, medical staff, and other administrative teams to support smooth service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Managing phone and online requests for appointments.
  • Provide information on appointment times, locations and any required preparation.
  • Scheduling a variety of diagnostic imaging services.
  • Answering inbound calls from patients and physician offices.
  • Accurately enter patient information and appointment details into booking systems including updates, changes and cancellations.
  • Adhere to policies regarding patient confidentiality and data protection.
