About The Position

Connect with purpose. Care with heart. Grow with us. At Great Rivers Dental, we believe dental care is personal — and that exceptional patient experiences start the moment someone walks through our doors. We’re looking for a Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) to join our compassionate, growth-minded team. In this role, you’ll help patients feel comfortable, supported, and confident in their care from start to finish. Whether you have experience in a dental or healthcare setting — or are brand new to the field — we provide comprehensive, hands-on training and mentorship to help you thrive.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Comfortable using dental software, email, and tools like Microsoft 365 — or eager to learn.
  • You communicate clearly and compassionately, whether in person, by phone, or in writing.
  • You’re organized, dependable, and take pride in accuracy.
  • You love creating a calm, positive experience for every patient.
  • You collaborate with positivity and help others succeed.
  • You stay flexible and upbeat, even in a busy environment.
  • You’re eager to learn, improve, and take initiative in your professional development.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a dental, medical, or customer service role is preferred — but we’ll train the right person with the right attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients warmly and professionally—whether in person or by phone
  • Schedule appointments that support both patient needs and practice goals
  • Present treatment plans and offer financial counseling with clarity and compassion
  • Manage insurance verifications, billing coordination, and collections
  • Handle emails, voicemails, and messages promptly and accurately
  • Maintain meticulous patient records and data in systems like Open Dental and Dental Intelligence
  • Collaborate with your team to ensure smooth, efficient operations and exceptional patient service
  • Promote and protect patient confidentiality (HIPAA) and uphold clinical excellence standards

Benefits

  • Competitive hourly wage with performance-based growth
  • 401(k) with matching
  • Generous PTO and paid holidays
  • Medical, dental, and vision benefits
  • Team incentives and bonus opportunities
  • Hands-on training and mentorship
  • Continuing education and professional growth support
  • Opportunities to advance within a growing dental group
