About The Position

Our client, Tucson Plastic Surgery, is adding a Patient Care Coordinator to their incredible team as the practice continues to expand in its new state-of-the-art plastic surgery office, ambulatory surgery center, and wellness center, delivering a concierge-level, five-star patient experience. As a Patient Care Coordinator, you are the central liaison between the patient, their surgeon, and the clinical team. You are a trusted advisor, educator, and advocate who guides each patient through their full aesthetic and surgical journey, from initial consultation to post-operative care. You will conduct preliminary consultations and lead patient intakes, offer guidance, explain procedures, answer questions, present surgical plans and pricing, schedule surgeries, interface with the patients’ families, follow up, and share pre- and post-operative instructions.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of patient care experience, preferably in a physician's office or small clinic setting; plastic surgery and/or aesthetics a plus
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program from an accredited institution
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with patients, families, and team members
  • Critical thinking abilities to analyze situations and develop/propose appropriate solutions
  • Excellent organizational, documentation, and time-management skills, with meticulous attention to detail
  • Refined, polished, and compassionate demeanor reflecting five-star service standards
  • Adaptability, discretion, and poise under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated with a high energy level and unwavering commitment to HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
  • Proficiency in EMR systems (Mod Med preferred) and Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

  • Welcome new and existing patients, ensuring every visit reflects a warm, exemplary patient experience
  • Conduct preliminary consultations, reviewing patient goals and health history, and provide a seamless handoff - including fully complete patient charting and documentation- to the surgeon
  • Explain surgical procedures, recovery expectations, and pre-/post-operative care in detail
  • Schedule and coordinate patient surgeries, pre-operative appointments, and post-operative follow-up care with TPS providers
  • Coordinate the scheduling for combined procedures with outside surgical providers
  • Assist with implant and surgical supplies ordering to support clinic operations
  • Uphold strict HIPAA compliance, safeguarding confidentiality and aligning with the practice’s vision and service standards
  • Maintain open, collaborative communication with the front office, clinical team, and physicians to ensure continuity of care
