About The Position

The Patient Intake Coordinator supports the Enteral Nutrition Center by coordinating the initial admission of patients onto company services. The role maintains communication and workflow among the branch, Sales staff, the Insurance Verification team, and referral sources to help ensure new patients receive excellent care. Training is virtual, and the employee must be able to work independently. This is a full-time, permanent, work-from-home position with benefits and is not through an agency.

Requirements

• At least two years of customer service experience.
• At least two years of healthcare experience.
• At least one year of experience using Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Process orders from referral sources and patients, respond to phone and fax inquiries, and resolve patient complaints.
• Assess patient needs and document referral requests for coordination of care.
• Provide information about equipment, supplies, and services to applicable departments to support bringing patients onto company services.
• Coordinate with the Insurance Verification Team to process patient details and collect benefit coverage information.
• Communicate insurance coverage to referral sources and patients, and discuss billing forms required with patients.
