About The Position

Community Howard Regional Health is introducing a new leadership role to enhance critical care services for their ICU/PCU units. This initiative aims to create a more cohesive and high-performing environment, focusing on optimal patient outcomes and staff support. The Patient Care Coordinator will manage daily operations, promote best practices, and empower the care teams. This role is crucial for ensuring the continued excellence of patient care. Requirements

  • Graduate of National League for Nursing (NLN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), or National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA) accredited school of nursing, or three years of related professional nursing experience.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice in the state of Indiana as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of 3 years of ICU and/or PCU experience preferred.
  • If only have PCU experience, will be trained as an ICU RN initially.
  • Charge experience strongly preferred.
  • EPIC experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily, shift-to-shift leadership to support the operations of both the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and the Progressive Care Unit (PCU).
  • Exhibit excellence in clinical patient care, customer service, critical thinking, schedule management, relationship competencies, and organizational skills.
  • Ensure appropriate clinical and customer satisfaction outcomes are met.
  • Effectively lead the team.
  • Demonstrate performance consistent with professional standards of practice, care, the Nurse Practice Act and the mission and goals of Community Health Network.
  • Demonstrate skills in collaboration, delegation, negotiation and management of resources.
