About The Position

Community Howard Regional Health is enhancing its critical care services with a more comprehensive and standardized leadership approach for its ICU/PCU units. This initiative aims to foster a cohesive and high-performing environment for optimal patient outcomes and staff support. This leadership role will manage daily operations, drive best practices, and empower dedicated teams, serving as a vital partner in their success and the continued excellence of patient care. The Patient Care Coordinator will provide daily, shift-to-shift leadership to support the operations of both the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at Community Howard Regional Health in this new integrated role. As the Patient Care Coordinator, you will exhibit excellence in clinical patient care, customer service, critical thinking, schedule management, relationship competencies, and organizational skills. You will have the authority and autonomy to ensure the appropriate clinical and customer satisfaction outcomes are met, while effectively leading your team.

Requirements

Graduate of National League for Nursing (NLN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), or National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA) accredited school of nursing, or three years of related professional nursing experience.
Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice in the state of Indiana as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).

Nice To Haves

A minimum of 3 years of ICU and/or PCU experience preferred.
If only have PCU experience, will be trained as an ICU RN initially.
Charge experience strongly preferred.
EPIC experience is a plus.
