About The Position

As a Patient Care Attendant, you will help improve patients’ quality of life by assisting with daily activities and tasks, providing physical support and companionship, and helping care for the home.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Perform tasks in compliance with company policies, rules, and procedures.
• Understand HIPAA rules and regulations.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a confident demeanor.
• Compassionate and sensitive to patients’ needs and concerns.
• Related housekeeping or personal care experience.

Responsibilities

• Encourage patients to perform daily personal hygiene.
• Support patients with mobility, standing, and physical activities.
• Provide cueing and reminders for self-medication administration.
• Schedule patient appointments, handle cancellations, and update records.
• Accompany patients to appointments.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitary conditions in patients’ spaces and living areas.
• Ensure patients’ safety and remove safety hazards.
• Prepare and plan meals.
• Do laundry.
• Answer the telephone and assist with gathering personal mail and other correspondence.
• Shop for groceries and run errands.
• Provide companionship and conversation.
