About The Position

VCA South Shore (Weymouth) Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Patient Care Technician to support its Doctors and Technician team. The role focuses on creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for clients and patients and providing compassionate care to boarded and hospitalized pets. Experience is preferred, but motivated candidates with an excellent work ethic will be considered. The position requires scheduling flexibility, including nights, weekends, and some holidays. Compensation is $18.00–$19.50 per hour, plus an overnight differential of $2.00 per hour and a weekend differential of $6.25. Requirements

Responsibilities

Maintain medical records.
Prepare the surgical suite and surgical patients.
Fill prescriptions.
Perform laboratory work.
Assist with diagnostic imaging across multiple modalities.
Provide compassionate care for boarded and hospitalized pets.
Perform general patient husbandry and hygiene.
Support Doctors and the Technician team in creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for clients and patients.
