About The Position
The Patient Care Associate is a member of a team dedicated to providing the highest quality care and services to our patients by assisting in such functions as maintaining a safe, clean, and functional environment; assisting with dietary aspects of care; facilitating communication, i.e., answering phones; transporting patients and assisting visitors. As an integral part of the team, the Patient Care Associate is responsible for activities, which promote patient focused care within the Patient Unit. Alternate weekends required.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or equivalent required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Certification in Phlebotomy and EKG monitoring required
- Graduate of State Certified Program
Responsibilities
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and functional environment
- Assisting with dietary aspects of care
- Facilitating communication, e.g., answering phones
- Transporting patients
- Assisting visitors
- Promoting patient focused care within the Patient Unit
