About The Position
As a Patient Care Associate/Nursing Assistant at Rice Memorial Hospital, you will provide an array of medical services to care for patients. The role includes monitoring patients, transporting them to appointments and procedures, and helping with activities of daily living. Additional duties may be assigned as requested. This part-time position is scheduled for 48 hours every two weeks, with rotating 8-hour day, evening, and night shifts. The schedule includes every other weekend and rotating holidays. Starting pay is $19.08 per hour, with the exact wage based on years of related experience; the stated pay range is $19.08–$25.30 per hour. Extra pay is available for evening, night, and weekend shifts.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend medical terminology.
Nice To Haves
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Monitor patients, including checking vital signs and glucose.
- Transport patients to appointments and procedures.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, brushing teeth, and toileting.
- Perform additional duties as requested.
