About The Position

The Patient Care Assistant assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to all patients, and helps maintain a safe environment. The role works under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit. This position is with Emergency Services at Lower Bucks Hospital, a community hospital serving the Lower Bucks County region with medical, surgical, and emergency care.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current BLS (AHA) certification within 30 days of hire and maintained as current.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

Nice To Haves

• Current phlebotomy certification upon hire.
• Current EKG certification upon hire.
• At least six months of previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Provide basic nursing care to all patients.
• Assist in maintaining a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.
