About The Position

The Patient Care Assistant assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to all patients, and helps maintain a safe environment. The role works under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.

Lower Bucks Hospital is a community hospital serving the Lower Bucks County region with medical, surgical, and emergency care. Located in Bristol, Pennsylvania, the hospital has more than 200 physicians on staff and approximately 700 employees.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current BLS (AHA) certification within 30 days of hire and maintained thereafter.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

Nice To Haves

• Current phlebotomy certification upon hire.
• Current EKG certification upon hire.
• At least six months of previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
