About The Position

The Patient Care Assistant is responsible for providing nursing care to patients under the supervision and direction of a registered nurse. Incumbents perform routine direct patient care activities following established policies and procedures in a manner conducive to the safety and comfort of the patient. Our specialized team of board-certified rehab physicians, certified rehab nurses, clinicians and dedicated therapists deliver an unparalleled level of care and encouragement through state-of-the-art-technology, advanced therapies and wellness environments. The 62 bed Acute Rehabilitation Unit provides acute inpatient medical rehabilitation services to patients with functional impairments as a result of various diagnoses including, stroke, spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, multiple traumas, orthopedic conditions, amputations, and other disabling conditions. Requirements

• Completes and maintains all competencies and trainings as required for role.
• High School Diploma or GED, or relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education.
• No Experience
• BLS Certification
• If hired for the Transitional Sub-Acute Unit (TSU) at Reading Health Rehabilitation Hospital (RHRH), PA Nurse Aide Certification
