About The Position

The Patient Care Assistant assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to all patients, and helps maintain a safe environment. The position works under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.

Roxborough Memorial Hospital is a 131-bed community hospital serving the Roxborough, Manayunk, East Falls, and northwest Philadelphia communities. It is a member of Prime Healthcare and has served the area for more than a century.

Requirements

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), with state-approved certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current BLS (AHA) certification within 30 days of hire and maintained thereafter.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

Nice To Haves

• Current phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.
• At least six months of previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office, preferred.
