Patient Care Assistant| MGH-Clinical Decision Unit
About The Position
The Patient Care Assistant (PCA) will work on the Clinical Decision Unit (CDU) at Bigelow 12. This unit is a new admission pathway with thirty-one beds, serving general medicine patients identified as “short stay,” requiring inpatient-level care from 48 to 72 hours. Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certified.
- Medical Assistant (National Certification) preferred.
- Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Technician (National Certification) preferred.
- Experience working in patient care/elder care (0-1 year preferred).
- Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Strong patient/customer service skills.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
- Proficient in computer skills to work efficiently with electronic medical records.

Responsibilities
