About The Position
The Patient Care Assistant (PCA) position is located in the Clinical Decision Unit (CDU) on Bigelow 12. The CDU is a new admission pathway serving general medicine patients identified as "short stay," requiring inpatient-level care for 48 to 72 hours. Mass General Brigham relies on a wide range of professionals to advance its mission of patient care, research, teaching, and community service. This role offers a $750.00 sign-on bonus for eligible new employees.
Requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Proficient in computer skills to work efficiently with electronic medical records.
- Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Strong patient/customer service skills.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
- Certified Medical Assistant [National Certification].
- Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Technician [National Certification] preferred.
- Nursing Assistant- preferred.
- Experience working in patient care/elder care 0-1 year preferred.
Responsibilities
