Requirements

  • Clinically competent nursing staff for General Nursing Units (patients age 15 years to maturity).
  • Clinically competent nursing staff for Special Care Areas (patients age 15 years through adult with high risk conditions).
  • Clinically competent staff in maternity care for Labor and Delivery.
  • Clinically competent staff for Nursery care (newborn until discharge).
  • Clinically competent staff for Pediatric care (neonate through age eighteen).
  • Clinically competent staff for GI Lab Unit (toddlers, beginning age 24 months, through adult).
  • Clinically competent nursing staff for Chemical Dependent Unit and Psychiatric Unit (adult patients and family with holistic approach to emotional problems).
  • Clinically competent staff in pediatric and high-risk adult care for Emergency Unit.
  • Staff for Surgical Services (patients from neonate to geriatric).

Responsibilities

  • Provides basic nursing care for assigned group of patients under the direction/supervision of an RN.
  • Cares for patients from age 15 years to maturity in General Nursing Units.
  • Cares for patients from age 15 years through adult with high risk conditions in Special Care Areas.
  • Provides care in Maternal Child Units: Labor and Delivery, Nursery, and Pediatric units.
  • Cares for toddlers (beginning age 24 months) through adult in the GI Lab Unit.
  • Cares for adult patients and family with holistic approach to emotional problems in Chemical Dependent Unit and Psychiatric Unit.
  • Provides care to presenting patients of all ages in the Emergency Unit.
  • Provides care to patients from neonate to geriatric in Surgical Services.
  • Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
