About The Position
The Patient Care Assistant assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to all patients, and helps maintain a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit. This is a full-time night-shift position in the Float Pool at St. Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. The stated hours are 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.
Requirements
- Current BLS (AHA) certification within 30 days of hire and maintained as current.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- State-approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Nice To Haves
- Current phlebotomy certification upon hire.
- Current EKG certification upon hire.
- At least six months of previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office.
