About The Position

Fairview is seeking a Patient Attendant at Fairview Northland Hospital in Princeton, Minnesota. The Patient Attendant provides direct, constant observation of assigned patients who require monitoring for safety reasons. This casual position is 0.01 FTE and requires 16 hours of work per month, including 8 weekend hours. The employee must be able to report to work within 30 minutes of being called in. The stated pay rate is $20.83 per hour, with shift differentials of $2 per hour for evenings, $3 per hour for nights, and $2 per hour for weekends.

Responsibilities

Ensure patient safety through close and constant observation.
Observe for real and potential threats to patient safety and initiate appropriate action to prevent patient harm.
Report observations directly to the patient's assigned nurse or the unit's charge nurse.
Document observations in the designated appropriate manner.
Perform other duties that do not require clinical competency, such as stocking rooms and answering call lights.
