About The Position

This role is for a Patient Attendant Float position within Ascension Saint Thomas Hospitals, serving the Nashville, Murfreesboro, and McMinnville, TN areas. The position is PRN (as needed) and operates on a night schedule. The primary responsibility is to remain at the bedside of an assigned patient at all times unless relieved by an appropriate staff member. The attendant will assist in calming and/or reorienting patients experiencing agitation or confusion, remove visible hazards and/or broken equipment from the immediate environment, and report these findings as appropriate. All observations made during the shift must be recorded.

Requirements

High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Certification specializing in Crisis Prevention preferred.
Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
