About The Position
The Patient Admissions Coordinator at Providence Milwaukie Hospital welcomes patients at the start of their care journey and helps make healthcare processes clear, supportive, and human. The role combines compassionate communication with organization and accuracy in a fast-paced environment, connecting with people from varied backgrounds and solving problems. The position supports Providence’s patient-focused, whole-person care and commitment to understanding, commitment, and mutual respect. This is an on-call, variable-shift position.
Requirements
- National Certification of CHAA upon hire.
- Three years of experience in patient access or a business office setting.
- Experience with insurance eligibility systems.
- Three years of using medical terminology in a job setting.
- Knowledge of medical billing codes.
- One year of knowledge of Epic applications.
