Patient Admissions Coordinator - Providence Anchorage
About The Position
Providence is hiring a Patient Admissions Coordinator for the Emergency Department at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska. The position is part of One Revenue Cycle (ORC), which supports Providence Health & Services revenue cycle systems and operations across regions from Alaska to California. ORC provides operational and technical support and specialized revenue cycle expertise in support of Providence’s strategy and patient care experience. The role is full-time at 1.0 FTE, 40 hours per week. Standard shift hours are either 8:00 PM to 4:30 AM or 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM, depending on operational needs. Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in customer service or healthcare registration.
Nice To Haves
- Some college-level coursework is preferred, particularly in Medical Terminology or Medical Assistant coursework.
- Upon hire, Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) or Certified Revenue Cycle Specialist (CRCS) certification is preferred.
- Previous registrar and third-party payor experience.
