About The Position

The Rehabilitation Aide assists multidisciplinary professional and paraprofessional staff in providing quality patient care. The role supports cost-effective department maintenance and supply management; prepares patients and equipment for treatment; transports patients; and helps maintain an orderly work environment. Under the supervision of the appropriate professional, the aide also assists with patient treatment. This is a part-time, 0.25 FTE position working 10 hours per week on the day shift, onsite at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska.

Requirements

• Upon hire, National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience or volunteer work in a rehabilitation setting.
• Upon hire, Certified Nursing Assistant certification in Alaska for SNF.

Responsibilities

• Assist multidisciplinary professional and paraprofessional staff in providing quality patient care.
• Assist the manager with cost-effective maintenance of the department and its supplies.
• Prepare patients and equipment for treatment.
• Transport patients.
• Perform tasks to maintain an orderly working environment.
• Assist with patient treatment under the supervision of the appropriate professional.
