About The Position
Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire a Patient Access Technician for our outpatient Rehabilitation department, who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Nice To Haves
- Associate degree in a health-related field
- 1-2 years of experience in a customer-facing role in healthcare preferred
Responsibilities
- Facilitate patient enrollment in outpatient programs through accurate capture of patient information (clinical and demographic) via electronic and paper means
- Answer phones and perform scheduling functions courteously and promptly using customer-centered language
- Assist the therapy team members with the delivery of hands-on care as directed and instructed
- Maintain the department's cleanliness and supplies through cleaning, organizing, stocking, and ordering materials and supplies
- Participate in tasks such as faxing, scanning, report generation, and other administrative tasks as requested and instructed
- Have additional duties as assigned
