About The Position

As a Patient Access Supervisor, you'll lead a team responsible for patient registration, check-in, check-out, financial services, and front-end operations. You'll coach and develop your team, monitor department performance, solve challenges in real time, and help ensure every patient receives outstanding service from the moment they arrive. Requirements

  • Strong leadership and people development skills
  • Experience in Patient Access, registration, revenue cycle, or healthcare operations
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience working with healthcare technology and Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities while maintaining a positive attitude
  • High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent)
  • 4+ years of customer service experience in healthcare, medical office, revenue cycle, banking, retail, hospitality, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of direct Patient Access experience

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's Degree or higher
  • 5+ years of hospital or multi-specialty clinic experience
  • Epic experience

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a team of Patient Access Representatives
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members through ongoing feedback and training
  • Monitor patient flow and help create a smooth, efficient experience for patients and families
  • Oversee registration, check-in, check-out, and financial services operations
  • Manage key revenue cycle work queues and department performance metrics
  • Resolve escalated patient and account concerns with professionalism and compassion
  • Participate in hiring, scheduling, payroll, performance evaluations, and staff development
  • Conduct quality audits to ensure compliance and operational excellence
  • Partner with leadership to identify opportunities for continuous process improvement
