This role is for a Patient Access Scheduler who will be responsible for pre-registering and scheduling patient appointments for assigned services to the appropriate location with appropriate providers in an attentive and courteous manner. The position also involves directing calls to the appropriate area for services not provided in Patient Access Scheduling, receiving requests for information and ensuring timely distribution of materials, and scheduling, admitting, and pre-authorizing insurance for all patients in the assigned area. The Patient Access Scheduler acts as the first point of contact for the system, partnering with the caller/patient to facilitate an empathetic and compassionate solution and assist them in navigating the complex system. This is a remote role requiring the ability to work in a self-directed manner while maintaining quality and performance expectations. It is a very heavy call center role, involving non-stop, back-to-back phone calls. Training is provided for the first four weeks of employment, with new classes starting tentatively on July 20, 2026. This specific position has a schedule of Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, which is .6 FTE or 48 hours per two-week pay period and is benefits eligible.
