About The Position

The Patient Access Representative (Receptionist) in the Behavioral Health Department is a full-time position (40 hours/week) at Generations Family Health Center, Inc. This role involves greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling appointments, gathering patient information, posting procedures, and collecting fees. The position requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including dental, medical, behavioral health, health support, and community program staff. Generations Family Health Center is a regional community health center serving a rural area in eastern Connecticut with multiple sites, offering a full range of primary care services.

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Typing and computer skills essential
  • Familiarity with dental/medical terminology and billing procedures is necessary
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Able to handle multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment

  • Post secondary school education preferred
  • Experience in dental/medical office is helpful
