The Patient Access Representative is responsible for pre-registration, registration and admission functions in the Emergency Department at Saint Mary's Hospital. This role involves performing complete and accurate pre-registrations, registration, and admission functions, verifying insurance requirements, obtaining and understanding insurance benefits, securing signatures and all other key information needed to complete billing and collection functions, collecting or arranging for co-insurance and/or other deposit payment amounts, referring self-pay patients to financial counselors, and answering patient questions.
