The Patient Access Representative is the first point of contact for patients for our Detox & Withdrawal Management programs, playing a vital role in patient experience and admission. This is a dynamic environment where the Patient Access Representative acts as the point person for admission. The role involves managing the front desk of a high-paced chemical dependency treatment center, greeting patients, and ensuring they receive the highest level of customer care. The position requires interacting positively and in a caring manner with patients, co-workers, and visitors, answering incoming phone calls and referring them to the clinical team or other areas of CADT. It also involves managing large volumes of work, handling deadlines, and maintaining high productivity. The representative will verify patients' insurance coverage and eligibility, assist patients in completing MNSure applications and other funding-related paperwork, and act as a liaison between patients and external agencies, advocating for patients' needs throughout the intake and funding process. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of patient intake information, insurance, and funding assistance efforts, while upholding confidentiality in accordance with 42 CFR and HIPAA, is crucial. Professional verbal and written communication with providers within Detox/WDM and interdepartmentally, as well as compassionate and sensitive communication with patients and their families, are essential.
