Whether you’re scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, assisting with admissions, or helping patients understand their financial responsibilities, your work helps keep care moving forward. This role combines customer service, problem-solving, and attention to detail in a fast-paced healthcare environment where compassion and communication matter every day.

Requirements

  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Comfort working with patient registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and financial processes
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn healthcare systems quickly
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)
  • 2 years of customer service and/or healthcare experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist patients, families, and visitors in person and by phone
  • Schedule appointments and coordinate patient services accurately and efficiently
  • Register patients and update demographic, insurance, and guarantor information
  • Verify insurance eligibility and collect required documentation
  • Support admissions, transfers, discharges, and bed placement processes as needed
  • Explain financial responsibilities, collect payments, and connect patients with financial assistance resources
  • Answer calls and direct patients to the appropriate departments and services
  • Collaborate with clinical and support teams to help ensure a seamless patient experience
