The Patient Access Representative assists patients and staff with scheduling, pre-registration, and registration for all services at Adena Health System. They gather information via interviews in person, by phone, or through electronic systems like Meditech or eCW. This includes demographic, insurance, and financial information, ensuring correct precertification/authorization for billing and collecting patient accounts. The role involves verifying insurance coverage, running estimates for patient visits, obtaining necessary signatures and documents, and scanning them into document imaging. Additionally, they enter diagnosis and test information, check orders for completeness and medical necessity, and interact with clinicians to ensure timely patient care. The position requires self-driven individuals who can multitask, prioritize, and possess strong communication skills for effective interaction with others.
