About The Position

Baptist Medical Center MD Anderson is hiring a full-time, day-shift Patient Access Representative II for its Patient Access Services Department at the Baptist MD Anderson location in Jacksonville, Florida. The position works Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. The team works closely with patients and providers to support patients through their medical process, coordinate schedules, and confirm appointments. The role is based in an office setting and involves patient check-ins and check-outs.

Requirements

1–2 years of customer service experience required.
High school diploma required.

Nice To Haves

1–2 years of insurance experience preferred.
1–2 years of healthcare experience preferred.
Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) preferred.

Responsibilities

Register patients accurately and efficiently.
Use multiple systems and interfaces and be cross-trained to work in multiple patient access areas.
Provide service excellence to patients and visitors during face-to-face and telephone interactions.
Contribute to annual Patient Access Services goals, including collections and palm scanning.
Maintain a strong understanding of state and federal regulations, including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO.
Maintain professional relationships with clinical and non-clinical team members.
Explain compliance documentation and ensure required patient consent forms are completed.
Maintain patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
