About The Position

Baptist Health, recognized as a top place to work in health care, is hiring a Full-Time Days Patient Access Representative II to join their Imaging Contact Center team at the Baptist Southbank Plaza location in Jacksonville, FL. This role primarily involves scheduling appointments within the Baptist Health System. The representative will handle approximately 75-80 patient calls daily, focusing on scheduling, completing registrations, verifying insurance, providing estimates, and collecting patient payments. Responsibilities also include working patient work queues and making outbound calls. Performance will be evaluated based on a monthly scorecard measuring call wrap-up time and quality. The ideal candidate will embody the five Baptist Core Values and possess call center and scheduling experience.

Requirements

  • High school diploma (or higher) Required
  • Call center experience
  • Scheduling experience

Responsibilities

  • Registering patients accurately and efficiently
  • Utilizing multiple systems and interfaces
  • Cross-Trained in order to work in multiple Imaging Service Lines
  • Maintaining service excellence to patients and visitors for telephonic encounters
  • Contributing to PAS Goals as defined annually (Collections, productivity, quality, and call metric objectives, etc.)
  • Possessing a strong understanding of State and Federal regulations including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO
  • Maintaining a professional relationship with all clinical and non-clinical team members
  • Articulating compliance documentation and ensure completion of required patient consent forms
  • Maintaining patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
