About The Position

Baptist Medical Center is currently hiring for a Full-Time Patient Access Representative II at our Southbank Plaza location. This is a full-time day shift position, Monday - Friday from 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, within a call center environment. The role involves taking full ownership of tasks to ensure successful outcomes, enhance Baptist Health's reputation, and create a positive first impression for patients.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years Customer Service Experience Required
  • High School Diploma Required

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years Healthcare experience Preferred
  • 1-2 years Insurance experience Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Registers patients accurately and efficiently
  • Utilization of multiple systems and interfaces
  • Cross-Trained in order to work in multiple patient access areas
  • Maintains service excellence to patients and visitors for face-to-face and telephonic encounters
  • Contributes to PAS Goals as defined annually (Collections, Palm Scanning, etc.)
  • Possesses a strong understanding of State and Federal regulations including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO
  • Maintains a professional relationship with all clinical and non-clinical team members
  • Able to articulate compliance documentation and ensure completion of required patient consent forms
  • Maintains patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
