About The Position
Franciscan Health is a Catholic health care system with 11 ministries and access points across Indiana and Illinois. It seeks coworkers who provide compassionate, comprehensive care to patients and the communities it serves. The Patient Access Rep I obtains patient registration information, enters insurance, billing, and clinical data, identifies applicable co-payment and fiscal procedures, and completes computer and telephone pre-registrations to help maintain patient flow. Travel is never or rarely required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
Nice To Haves
- Associate's degree preferred.
Responsibilities
- Enter insurance policy numbers, group numbers, addresses, and telephone numbers.
- Verbally interview patients and/or family members to obtain registration information.
- Enter patient billing and clinical data.
- Identify co-payment procedures and fiscal procedures related to registration.
- Complete computer and telephone pre-registrations to maintain patient flow.
