About The Position

The Patient Access / Registration role is responsible for the pre-registration process of patient admissions. This includes obtaining approvals and payments on site, explaining insurance and private pay liabilities, and appropriately referring patients requiring financial counseling. The role also involves accurately entering/updating all patient demographic information, including insurance and patient liability, posting payments to the appropriate screen, and completing reconciliation reports. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, and includes every other weekend in MRI. Training and orientation are for two weeks, Monday-Friday, 8 AM-4:30 PM, and include time training in Springfield, MA. Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of medical terminology and medical insurances
Patient access hospital experience strongly preferred
