Patient Access Manager
About The Position
This role is integral to our Behavioral Health Services (BHS) unit, ensuring optimal access to inpatient services and fostering a seamless intake process for patients and referral sources. As the Mgr- Patient Access, you will provide leadership and direction to maintain optimal access to inpatient Behavioral Health Services (BHS). You will supervise and coordinate daily operations, including intake processes, staff management, and quality improvement initiatives. This role is crucial in advancing an integrated intake design system and ensuring effective collaboration with physicians, clinical staff, and community referral sources.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- Two years of supervisory experience.
- Comprehensive understanding of BHS inpatient database, Henry Ford Appointment Scheduling System, EPIC, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Groupwise, Press Ganey, Openscape, and Intranet Web based programs.
- Knowledge of Insurance Verification process and BHS payor contracts.
- Base knowledge of Henry Ford HR policy/practices.

Responsibilities

- Establish and maintain relationships with physicians, clinical staff, and community referral sources.
- Monitor and analyze statistical reports to improve call management and access.
- Promote staff education, development, and adherence to quality standards.
