About The Position

Responsible to assist the leader to plan, organize, educate and implement activities related to the Patient Access core operations. The Coordinator has primary day-to- day responsibility of assuring workflow turnaround times are met, daily tracking of workflow, communication to the team, staff scheduling coordination, and special projects. The coordinator serves as a key liaison amongst the team.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-3 years of revenue cycle (patient access, medical billing, insurance, collections) experience.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively coordinate staff orientation, in-services, competencies, production, timeliness, quality, customer service, and efficiencies of Admission and Preadmission Representatives in areas of responsibilities.
  • Coordinates scheduling process and maintains appropriate staffing levels to maximize department efficiency.
  • Demonstrates good communication, continual education updates, and cooperative working relationship with all departments, co-workers and promotes a positive work environment.
  • Provides timely information to the Supervisor/Manager regarding the Patient Facing processes, staffing, customer service (all departments, patients and co-workers).
  • Monitors performance of staff, detects unsatisfactory trends/performance and deficiencies.
  • Discusses needed performance improvement to staff as needed.
  • Reports information to the Supervisor/Manager.
  • Provides input and assists in development of operational policies and procedures and assists in disseminating information to staff.
  • Developing, training and retaining employees; planning, assigning and leading work; rewarding and coaching employees.
  • Ensures day-to-day workflow processes; identify workflow problems and recommend alternative solutions to problems.
  • Monitors the quality and efficiency of the Patient Facing processes through auditing and key metrics.
