About The Position

Serves as patient-facing support for Piedmont Healthcare’s Patient Access Department. Ensures patient accounts have valid insurance coverage and current demographic and clinical information. Calculates patients’ financial responsibility, explains financial options and requirements, processes payments, and obtains patient consent and acknowledgements on required forms and notices.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of experience in healthcare revenue cycle, a clinical role, or related clerical accounting, finance, retail, or customer service work.

Nice To Haves

• At least 3 years of healthcare revenue cycle experience.
• Prior Epic experience.
• Certification with the Healthcare Financial Management Association or Certified Revenue Cycle Representative certification.

• Calculate patient financial responsibility and present financial options and requirements.
