About The Position

The Patient Access Associate provides patient-facing support for the Patient Access Department within Piedmont Healthcare. The role ensures patient accounts are complete with valid insurance coverage and current demographic and clinical data. It calculates patient financial responsibility, presents financial options and requirements, processes patient payments, and secures patient consent and acknowledgement on required forms and notices.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of experience in healthcare revenue cycle, a clinical role, or related clerical, accounting, finance, or retail work.

Nice To Haves

• Three years of healthcare revenue cycle experience.
• Prior Epic experience.
• Certification with the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
• Certified Revenue Cycle Representative certification.
