About The Position
The Patient Access Associate is a welcoming first point of contact for patients and visitors at Lakeview Hospital Northshore. The role supports scheduling, registration, and check-in while ensuring patient information is accurate, confidential, and handled with care. Through a calm and professional approach, the associate helps patients feel informed and supported throughout their visit and collaborates with clinical and administrative teams to maintain smooth, respectful, efficient, and patient-focused hospital operations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors in person and by phone.
- Schedule appointments and manage check-in processes.
- Register patients and verify insurance and demographic information.
- Scan and maintain required documentation.
- Explain financial responsibilities and collect payments when appropriate.
