Portland Community College is seeking two dynamic and student-centered Pathway Advisors - Academic Advising Specialists to join the Department of Career and Academic Planning. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about providing asset-based academic advising and retention services within the Division of Academic and Career Pathway Guidance. The Pathway Advisor will assist students in developing academic goals and creating long- and short-term academic plans, while also providing information on PCC's credit and non-credit programs. The position requires building and maintaining positive relationships with faculty, staff, and administrators within assigned pathways, engaging students through ongoing outreach, and supporting PCC's commitment to equitable access. A holistic approach is expected, addressing students' academic, work, health, and financial needs, and connecting them with essential resources such as food, housing, and transportation support. The role involves supporting students through various modalities including virtual, in-person, phone, and email, and may require evening and weekend hours. PCC is committed to equitable student success and evolving its advising role to better serve students.
