About The Position

The School of Professional Studies is seeking an Academic Advisor to advise students in the Division of Applied Undergraduate Studies (DAUS) on academic programs, policies, and procedures and provide career counseling. Interpret University and school policies and recommend exceptions to policy when appropriate. Serve as advisor to the DAUS student club.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2+ years relevant experience in student advising or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Ability to advise and provide solutions to problems.
  • Ability to supervise staff.
  • Proficiency using computer software such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel and social media platforms.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree in Student Personnel Administration or similar degree
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Proficiency and/or familiarity with Peoplesoft software.
  • Knowledge of student development and career development theories.

Responsibilities

Benefits

  • The annual base salary range for this position is USD $77,000.00 to USD $77,000.00.
